Hey guys… Good luck on your great adventure… See you in Cuba. Carolynn

Oh sure, as we sit here tolling away at the necessary evil otherwise know as work (so that we too can “play”) understand that we will have expectations from your adventure… we will want to know everything (at least those you can write that my daughters can read), good and bad, not withstanding that you’ve created this interest and expectation back at that Bon Voyage Party at the dock. So as winter creeps up on us, we’ll read of your adventure (while I play Jimmy Buffett songs in the background) and share your experience, and thank you as we laugh (and perhaps worry some too) and sit herejealously wish we where there…

Wednesday 25th about 10:49.32 PM. 15 minutes ago I had a dandy note half written to you. I was positively inspired with all sorts of witty observations on things around here, people too now that Wayne andhis friedn John from Orangeviulle are here.
However, something happened, its always unexplainable, and allof a sudden I had some webpage on thescreen that was trying to sell me something. I tried to find my wayback to my essay and cannot find it. Then the dog came in and wanted me to take stroll down the lane with him which I did because he nagged me worse than Bona does.
By the time I got back my inspiration had gone to bed and I am left with sending you our best regards and the promise of news later,. right now I have apoor man’s milkshake and a dish of what looks llike ice cream over fresh peaches with carob chips (actuallyuit is Rioce DReam – iccream made from, rice (no cream., no milk, no sugar, no eggs). When its all you can eat its better than Hagen Das.
More later. Glad to see you are making progress and having a wonderful adventure. Watch out for the Pirates!
Peace, Joy and a safe voyage,
John & Bona.

PS: The new neighbours are still ripping your house apart, Deirdre. I can’t imagine what’s left to renovate!

Lost track of you guys today is the 13 of Nov. just trying to catch up?
Sorry about canceeling out just could not work it out
Hy guys!
Enjoyed reading your latest, we are in are usual Dec, high tides and stormy weather, snow , ( I’ll send some photo’s) We were with out power for 36 hours, the road out was closed with down power line for the day, so we were stuck by the fire side. The snow plough took 3 days to free us. In the meantime we shoveled snow!
I know the trivial amount of snow is nothing like what they get back east but this dump is a once of a very rare occurance around here, and we have never had to deal with a snow drift, winds were up to 64 kts.
Anyway Lady is pawing me she hates it when I bring the laptop tto bed in the morning, trys to put her head on the keyboard.
Watch for photo’s coming as soon as I get rid of this black thing’s nose.
Hi De
Finally managed to get onto your website. Congratulations on the wedding – post some pics on the site. Great to be able to keep up to date with your adventure – it takes some courage (and probably a whole load of sleepless nights!!) to pack in your job and live your dream.
Still not quite settled in Oz yet. Mick got a job straight away but I have been doing some temp HR work. Still searching for my dream job. There are lots of similarities working in HR in Oz compared to Canada but its a very different culture. There’s always beer and wine in the fridge in the staff lounge and one company offers discounted wine as a benefit (no health or dental, just wine – only in Oz!!!)
We took a one day sailing trip at Christmas on an ex Hobart-Sydney winner. Had a great time but got really burnt! The temperature is heating up now its summer down under. Take care
